All About Us

Lullabyz Nursery opened in 2012 and is owned by Nicola Reed and managed by Louise Touhig. Nicola and Louise met at university where they trained to be primary school teachers. Between them they have over forty years’ experience of working with children and are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care.

We understand that choosing a nursery can be an emotional decision and we aim to make this as easy as possible by creating a home from home environment for parents and their little ones. 

The nursery and kids club have been designed to be an extension of home life rather than a watered-down version of school life. All rooms have a neutral decor with soft furnishings, fairy lights and greenery which help to create a calm atmosphere.

Authentic Play

We have replaced plastic toys with loose parts, with open-ended resources that invite children to be curious learners and problem solvers. Our home corners have been filled with authentic items such as teapots, telephones and ornaments, and children are able to take risks while exploring through play.

Although we are an English medium nursery we embrace the fact that we are a nursery in Wales. We celebrate the language, culture and history of our country. Incidental Welsh is incorporated daily and Welsh songs and stories are a natural addition to nursery life.

At Lullabyz we are committed to improving the quality of care and learning delivered to our children. We have achieved the highest rating of ‘Highly Commended’ in our most recent Quality for All accreditation (June 2019). We encourage parental involvement at every opportunity and aim to work alongside you to help reach our goals.
